It was great to see how thrilled my daughter Amelie ( dressed in blue )got when she found out that she was invited to a birthday party where she would dress up as a princess. She has a costume of Princess Jasmine from the movie Aladdin and was missing some items, so her mother Diana decided to create the head band and collar from supplies she purchased at Michaels.
Abigail ( dressed in pink ) is the birthday girl and daughter of a very good friend of mine. My intent with both portraits was to create something classic and not dated. The lighting was contrasty to add dimension and to show texture.
